Malic Acid
Each capsule contains: MALIC ACID - 300
mg
Malic Acid, in
combination with an Electrolyte
Solution, is clinically proven as
the optimal way to provide acid for digestion. Many, if
not most people, especially those over 50, are deficient in
stomach acid which is essential for digestion, particularly
protein digestion. Four Malic
Acid capsules per meal is a small
amount of acid compared to what your stomach ideally makes, yet
they are effective and easily tolerated by most people.
In addition, Malic Acid provides malate, an ideal fuel for cells.
Malate plus an Electrolyte Solution increases cell
efficiency and energy output.

Proven and effective delivery system
-- calcium, magnesium and other minerals go directly to the site of mineral
absorption in the small intestine. A high and reliable percent of absorption
means you get what you take.
Cost effective -- you do not need
to take large quantities in order to absorb the small amount you need.
Safe -- unabsorbed minerals can
block the absorption of other vital nutrients, damage your digestive tract,
and impact your intestinal motility. Unabsorbed calcium is constipating
and unabsorbed magnesium is known to cause diarrhea.
Magnesium Plus in combination with
an Electrolyte Solution is a complete and effective mineral supplement. Magnesium
Plus contains magnesium and the other minerals necessary for magnesium to
work -- calcium, copper, manganese, chromium and molybdenum -- in the same
ratios to magnesium as is contained inside cells. Additional Calcium
is added as determined by the Health Equations Blood Test Evaluation.

MANGANESE – 0.03 mg
MOLYBDENUM – 0.012 mg
EPA 500
Each capsule contains:
EPA (EICOSAPENTAENOIC ACID) - 300
mg
DHA (DOCOSAHEXAENOIC ACID) - 200
mg
EPA is the active form of the omega-3
fatty acid known as alpha linolenic acid (ALA). A second active form
of ALA, DHA, is derived from EPA. The highest concentrations of EPA
and DHA are found in fatty fish and fish oil supplements.
The popular plant source of ALA
is flax, seeds and oil, which does not contain EPA or DHA. Since only
5% of the ALA from plants is converted to EPA, and less than 0.5% to DHA,
flax seeds and oil are not significant sources of EPA and DHA.
Fish oil (EPA and DHA) supplements
have been bestsellers ever since it became widely known that the disproportionate
amount of omega-6 fatty acid, linoleic acid (LA), to omega-3 in the all-American
diet contributes to many chronic diseases. The popularity of fish oil supplements
is furthered by some documented benefits. The consumption of extremely large
doses while decreasing the intake of omega-6 is the swing of the pendulum
to the other extreme.
Three cautions:
1) Any isolated nutrient,
including EPA, taken in pharmacological doses, i.e., in amounts higher than
found in the body or food, will create an imbalance in the body, somewhere,
sooner or later.
2) While the omega-6 to omega-3
ratio in excess of 20:1 in the all-American diet is dangerous, the required
ratio varies per individual. Supplemental EPA is not “one-fer-all.”
The amount and duration is dependent on each individual’s past
and current diets, body composition, lipid profile, diagnoses, health and
family histories, and more.
3) The Journal of the American
College of Nutrition recently published the following:
EPA 500 is
quality controlled to ensure the lowest rancidity on the market.
EPA 500 is
processed through molecular distillation to remove all contaminants, including
PCB’s.
EPA 500 is
produced in very small batches to guarantee a fresh product.
Only the highest quality omega-3
and omega-6 supplements are recommended and only if clinically indicated.
Use the Health Equations Blood Test
Evaluation and/or Consultation to determine if EPA 500 is good for you, and
if so, how much for how long.
“Randomized controlled trials
of marine omega-3 fatty acid supplementation in relation to coronary heart
disease (CHD) have inconsistent outcomes.... Newer data indicate that fish oils may increase CHD events in
men with angina. …Due to significant
heterogeneity in the response to fish oils, further studies are required before
making widespread recommendations for all groups to increase consumption of
fish and fish oils.”
