Emanuel Revici MD (1897-1998) was a world renowned clinical investigator whose seminal work in lipids in the middle of last century is yet to be widely recognized and applied in medical sciences and practices today. Dr. Revici not only redefined lipids, he understood the many functions of lipids, from determining membrane permeability and membrane charge to regulation of oxygen, electrolyte and calcium metabolism. He also discovered the “lipid defense” (that oversees the immune defense), the role of lipids in pathology and as well “therapeutic lipids” to resolve pathology.

Lynne August MD was under the tutelage of Dr. Revici in the 1980’s at his clinic in Manhattan. She has spent the last 21 years interpreting Dr. Revici’s work for application by physicians, health professionals and research scientists. Lynne is currently documenting the effectiveness of a therapeutic lipid inspired by Dr. Revici that decreases tissue damage in autoimmune disease and from radiation exposure.
