- Health Equations Magnesium Plus is not a magnesium
salt. The absorption of magnesium from Health Equations Magnesium
Plus is not dependent on sufficient stomach acid. The absorption
of magnesium from magnesium salts - such as magnesium citrate,
carbonate, aspartate, malate, orotate, sulfate, glycinate and
oxide - requires normal stomach acid. However, the majority of
people produce less and less stomach acid with each ensuing decade.
- Health Equations Magnesium Plus delivers free
charged magnesium directly to the site in the small intestine
where it is released and easily absorbed. See MAGNESIUM
according to Health Equations for further explanation
of this one-of-a-kind delivery system.
- Health Equations Magnesium Plus does not interfere
with absorption of other nutrients. The unabsorbed magnesium from
magnesium salts does cause a deficiency in fatty acids and disruptions
in the favorable organism in the bowel. For more detail see MAGNESIUM
according to Health Equations.
- Health Equations Magnesium Plus contains six
other minerals. Ninety-nine percent of magnesium is within the
cells. Optimal cell function requires specific ratios of calcium,
zinc, copper, manganese, chromium and molybdenum to magnesium
within the cells. The Health Equations Magnesium Plus has the
same ratios of these six minerals to magnesium as found in healthy
cells.
- Health Equations Magnesium Plus is conveniently
taken at the end of meals. Magnesium salts must be taken on an
empty stomach in order to ensure absorption of some of the magnesium
from the magnesium salts. This requires taking the magnesium salt
minimally one half hour before food or two hours after food, preferably
with an acid such as lemon juice or vinegar. Yet even under these
inconvenient circumstances there is little certainty of the amount
of magnesium absorbed.
