MAGNESIUM
according to Health Equations

The advantage of the Health Equations Magnesium Plus is that you get what you take.   When you take 50 mg of magnesium in the Health Equations Magnesium Plus you absorb 50 mg of magnesium. When you take other magnesium supplements you only absorb a small percent of the magnesium you take.

The magnesium in other magnesium supplements is a magnesium salt.   The magnesium in salts is bound to one or more of the following: citrate, carbonate, aspartate, malate, carbonate, orotate, sulfate, glycinate, and/or oxide.   Acid in the stomach must release the magnesium from the salt so it can be absorbed.

There are two disadvantages to relying on releasing magnesium from a salt in the stomach:   1) The magnesium will not be released if there is not enough stomach acid; stomach acid is lacking in over half the population.   2) Magnesium that is released by the stomach acid is released prematurely; it is not yet at the site of absorption in the small intestine.   Once released from the salt, the magnesium is free and charged.   Therefore most of the magnesium becomes bound again before it reaches the small intestine. Usually it binds to fatty acids.   Magnesium attached to fatty acids can never be absorbed.   The bound magnesium and fatty acids are lost in the stool.   Further, there is now the possibility of a fatty acid deficiency.   Moreover, the fatty acids, with the magnesium attached, decrease the beneficial organisms in the bowel while increasing the unwanted harmful organisms.   Digestive symptoms and malnutrition will follow.

The Health Equations Magnesium Plus attaches the free and charged magnesium to clay particles with heat.   This complex of clay and magnesium has a ‘protective’ negative charge.   This negative charge on the complex protects the magnesium from being released by acid in the stomach.   The negative charge also ensures that the magnesium will be released from the clay carrier in the alkaline environment of the small intestine, precisely at the site of their absorption.   Now the free and positively charged magnesium moves immediately to the negatively charged lining of the small intestine.   Carrier proteins transport the magnesium across the wall of the intestine.

The Health Equations Magnesium Plus optimizes magnesium absorption: unbound FREE CHARGED magnesium is delivered directly to the site of its absorption in the small intestine.   No other magnesium or mineral supplement does this.   Delivery of free and charged minerals to their site of absorption in the small intestine is necessary to absorb minerals.
